New Style of bead in the works.

I have been playing around with the idea of trying to make peacock feather-like beads.  These ones are round 3 - I will not be showing round 1 & 2 - lol!  I am quite pleased with how they have turned out - I really like the simplicity of the design.

You can find them in my Etsy shop.

Little Missy in a Daisy and Primrose Garden

I have a couple of new Little Missies in my Etsy, and I am particularly fond of this one:

This bead has a variegated blue background, and she is wearing
a white dress with blue dots and a flower on it.  Her blond hair
is swept to one side and she is admiring one of the Primroses
 in her garden.

This is the reverse with 2 Daisies and a Primrose.  I have
added a ruffle and some raised dots on one side, and then
cut into the edge on the other side to balance off the design.
Thanks for looking!

Don't forget the give away!

Just a reminder - don't forget to comment on the post "I Changed My Mind", to get in on a chance to win a Little Missy bead!

I've Changed My Mind!

Re: my last post.  Instead of selling the flawed Little Missy bead shown in the last post, I am going to give her away.
All you have to do is to leave a comment (a nice one - lol), and on Monday I will make the draw.

The photo below is the bead I will give away.

New Encased Rounds & Little Missy Bead

These encased "Royal Purple" beads were made by first
encasing white with a transparent purple, and then encasing
that in clear.  Then they were decorated with flowers and
dots, etc. - labour intensive!

Another view of the "Royal Purple" set.

This Little Missy turned out really nicely, however
I am disappointed in the large purple flower on
the back side - it has de-vitrified around the edges.
So I will be selling it at a discount $35.00 instead of the
usual $40.00.  Let me know if you are interested before I
list it on Etsy.

Here you can see the chalky edges of the large
purple flower on the right side of the bead.  I won't
be using that glass any time soon :(
Tomorrow I am off to help a friend man her booth at a local quilt show - here is hoping I don't get addicted to yet another craft/art!!!!

Show recap

My friend and I attended the annual Art in Bloom, Woodland Gardens, outdoor show in Comox, B.C., this past May Day long weekend.  We set up on the Friday, and the show was on Saturday, Sunday & Monday.  I always enjoy this show - the gardens are beautiful, however this year the weather was miserable.  Everyone was huddling in their tents on Saturday and Monday.  Sunday was lovely, and we had lots of people around.  Sales were definitely down - for everyone, but the upside of that is that I have lots of product to put in my studio and plenty for the next show.

I ended up changing the way I hung the pendants on the white riser, as
it looked too messy with the cords all criss crossed.  I am also going to have
change the copper "long chain pendants" hanger - I only sold two items from it.
Perhaps it is too high?

We ended up moving the flat black busts that are in the lower right side
of the picture.  We also moved a few of the other items around and
de-cluttered it a bit.

View from the short side.

We had our tables raised on bed risers, and Judy made new table drapes.
I love the new height!
I hope you enjoyed the virtual tour around our booth.

More Little Missy beads

These beads take a long time to make and are quite intensive, but I just love making them.  Here are a couple more for you to look at.  If anyone is interested, let me know - they are $40.00 each plus $2.50 shipping.  They will probably be going into my Etsy shop in the next few days.

This Little Miss looks so sweet in her "rosey" dress.
(Shhhh, don't tell her about her big "bustle".)
Approx. 49mm tall x 24mm wide.

New Little Miss Beads

I have a new group of Little Miss beads.
A good customer of mine requested a blond Little Miss with a dress to match with red polka dots and a large necklace - that is why 4 of them are similar.  Once she has chosen her bead, I will be listing the rest on Etsy.  The two with black hair are already listed.

I hope you are all having a good week so far.
